Changelog

12 versions
v4.0.0 Latest
  • BREAKING: The connector is rebuilt on the GraphQL Admin API (2026-10), which Shopify requires of new public apps in the App Store; it no longer calls the REST Admin API. Outputs are GraphQL objects: camelCase fields, global ids (gid://shopify/Order/123) with the numeric legacyResourceId alongside, enums in upper case, money as { amount, currencyCode }, UTC timestamps; lists such as lineItems, variants or addresses are plain arrays. Id inputs take a global id or a numeric id. Existing flows must be rebuilt.
  • BREAKING: Components follow the current component standards. Find Customers, Find Orders and Find Products (search query, typed filters, sort, output type, notFound port; up to 250 items) replace List Customers, List Customer Orders, List Orders and List Products; Update and Delete components emit an empty object on `out`; every trigger emits on `out`. Inputs are camelCase.
  • BREAKING: Webhook triggers read the object through GraphQL when the webhook arrives and emit it in the same shape as the Get and Find components, plus webhookTopic; repeated deliveries of one event are emitted once. Delete triggers emit { id, webhookTopic }. New/Updated Checkout emit the abandoned checkout once Shopify lists it, until then { id, webhookTopic }.
  • BREAKING: Discount codes are code discounts (the GraphQL Admin API has no price rules); Create and Get Discount Code emit the discount with its codes, value and minimum requirement. Added Delete Discount Code. The read_price_rules and write_price_rules scopes are no longer requested.
  • BREAKING: The read_publications and write_publications scopes are requested, so Create and Update Product can publish a product to the Online Store (publishToOnlineStore). Existing accounts must be reconnected.
  • Addresses take the country and the state or province as codes (CZ, ON).
  • Errors Shopify gives the same answer to on every attempt (invalid input, missing scope, unknown object, rejected mutation) stop the message instead of being retried.
  • Make API Call: GraphQL (POST /graphql.json) is the documented default; relative paths resolve against API version 2026-10, and a full URL must point at the connected store, so the access token is not sent to other hosts.
v3.0.1
  • Create Customer, Get Customer, Update Customer, New Customer and Updated Customer describe their output with a static schema (titles and example values in the variable picker) instead of a list generated by a helper component; the fields are the same as in Find Customers. The never-populated Metafield field is no longer offered.
  • Find Customers exports its item schema (ITEM_SCHEMA), so the output contract is visible to the validators and to `connector verify`.
v3.0.0
  • BREAKING: Authentication switched back from an Admin API access token (apiKey) to OAuth 2.0. Merchants connect a store through the consent screen of the Shopify app whose client ID and secret are set in the connector configuration; accounts connected with a token must be reconnected. Shopify stopped allowing new custom apps to be created in the store admin on January 1, 2026, so the token could no longer be obtained by new merchants.
  • OAuth uses expiring offline access tokens with refresh token rotation, which Shopify requires of public apps created since April 2026 and of all public apps from January 2027. Shopify keeps one current token per app and store: connecting the same store a second time invalidates the earlier account within an hour.
  • All scopes are requested in one consent: read/write customers, products, orders, discounts and price rules; read draft orders, fulfillments, inventory, locations, reports and returns.
  • Restored the mandatory compliance webhooks of a public app (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) and the install route. The webhook signature is now verified against the raw request body and no longer echoed in the error response.
  • The store address is validated before the client secret or an access token is sent to it.
v2.1.0
  • Added the discounts module with Create Discount Code (generates a code plus the price rule holding its terms; the code is generated for you when left empty) and Get Discount Code (looks an existing code up and returns it with its discount terms). Both need the read_discounts/write_discounts and read_price_rules/write_price_rules scopes on the custom app token.
v2.0.0
  • BREAKING: Authentication switched from OAuth 2.0 to an Admin API access token (apiKey). Each merchant creates a custom app in their Shopify admin (Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps) and provides the store address and shpat_ token; the auth tooltip lists all scopes the connector uses. Existing users must reconnect. App Store-only GDPR webhooks and the OAuth install route were removed.
  • BREAKING: Find Customers migrated to the standard outputType pattern ('Output Type' selector, 'out' + 'notFound' ports, array output under 'result'); flows wired to the old 'customer' port must be rewired.
  • BREAKING: Removed the reports CRUD components (plan-gated Shopify REST Report resource). Replaced by ShopifyQL-based Run Report (arbitrary query), Sales Report and Payments Report (friendly date range + grouping), available on basic/developer plans.
  • Removed the shopify-api-node dependency: lib.js now calls the Admin REST API (2024-04) directly through context.httpRequest with throttling, 429/Retry-After handling and cursor pagination.
  • Added 13 trigger components: New Paid Order, Cancelled Order, Fulfilled Order, New Refund, New/Updated Fulfillment, New/Updated Checkout, New/Updated Draft Order, Abandoned Cart, Inventory Level Updated and Return Tracking (new modules: checkouts, draftorders, inventory, returns).
  • Return Tracking subscribes to the whole returns/* topic family via a 'Return Events' multiselect (returns/update alone never fires during a standard return journey) and registers webhooks through GraphQL, emitting the fired topic in webhookTopic.
  • Create Order: omit empty customer objects and strip the UI-only variantType discriminator.
  • Added E2E trigger test flows covering every trigger component (self-provoke via MakeApiCall where the Admin API allows it; storefront-driven flows carry step-by-step notes).
v1.4.0
  • Added MakeApiCall component for performing arbitrary authorized API calls to the Shopify API.
v1.3.0
  • Implemented test() methods for all trigger components to support Flow Test Mode.
v1.2.1
  • Added output examples to component schemas.
v1.2.0
  • Implemented multiselect input normalization for tax_exemptions field in CreateCustomer and UpdateCustomer components.
v1.1.0
  • Upgrade to the 2023-04 version of the Shopify API.
v1.0.2
  • Fix paging.
v1.0.1
  • Initial version.
